Salt Lake Use Terms

Use of Salt Lake County Released Inmates means acceptance of these terms and the limits stated below. If you do not agree, do not access or use the site. These terms govern the private reference content, links, and third-party tools provided here.

Salt Lake County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no affiliation with a government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers a service covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The resource helps visitors locate Utah release and jail-record sources. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Site

This is a private reference that points to public offices, release records, custody systems, and outside research tools. It stores no official government records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, submit a court filing, or change an agency record.

Links can direct visitors to Salt Lake County, UDC, court, VINE, BOP, ICE, and third-party services. Each destination remains responsible for its own records, terms, and results.

Links to Other Providers

Links may lead to government records, sheriff and corrections pages, legal resources, or outside search services. A link is not an endorsement. We are not responsible for a destination's content, privacy practices, data handling, accuracy, or availability. Review that provider's terms before using it.

No Warranties

The site and all content are offered “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no promise about:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or current status of information
  • Continuous or uninterrupted access
  • Freedom from errors, defects, or security weaknesses
  • Completeness of results supplied by a search partner

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from Salt Lake County, UDC, a court, or another government office.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its owners, operators, and partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site, its owners, operators, and partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees that arise from your use of the site or a breach of these terms.

Ownership of Content

Unless another owner is identified, the text, graphics, logo, layout, and code belong to Salt Lake County Released Inmates or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, publish, modify, or create derivative works without written permission.

Term Revisions

These terms may be changed at any time. Revised terms take effect when posted. Continued use after posting means acceptance of the updated conditions.

Restriction of Access

We may suspend, limit, or end access to the site at any time, for any lawful reason, and without advance notice.

Utah Governing Law

Utah law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Utah.

Severability of Terms

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
